Why another activity book

Most activity lists give you a title and leave you guessing.

“Sensory bin.” “Obstacle course.” Great — but with what, for how long, and what do you do when it falls apart after ninety seconds? This book answers all of that before you start, so the hard part is done while your toddler is still calm.

Every activity is complete

Time needed, exact materials, numbered steps, a safety note, the skills it builds, and one pro tip from real use. No half-instructions.

Chosen by the moment

Rainy afternoon, ten minutes before dinner, needs to calm down, needs to burn energy — six colour-coded categories make the choice fast.

Age-appropriate, honestly

A 14-month-old and a 3-year-old need different things. Three separate sections, 50 activities each, written for that stage.

What’s inside

Three age stages. Fifty activities each.

Open your child’s section and everything in it is already right for them.

Part one

Ages 1–2 — the discovery year

Everything is new and repetition is the whole curriculum. Rice bins, texture baskets, cushion crawling, board books, first shape sorters.

50 activities10–20 min

Part two

Ages 2–3 — the explorer year

Language takes off and hands get precise. Kinetic sand, obstacle courses, bean bag games, colour sorting, first pretend play.

50 activities10–25 min

Part three

Ages 3–4 — the thinker year

Real conversations and genuine problem-solving. Letter tracing, simple addition with objects, slime, story building, garden science.

50 activities15–30 min

Six kinds of play

Pick by what the moment needs.

The same six colours run through the whole book — banners, card edges, the tracker — so you can find the right kind of play at a glance.

Sensory PlayHands-on play that builds body awareness, focus and calm.
Creative / ArtMaking, marking and mess with a purpose.
Physical / MotorBig-body movement for strength, balance and coordination.
Quiet / Calm TimeLow-stimulation play for winding down and resetting.
OutdoorFresh-air activities that need almost no setup.
Learning / CognitivePlayful thinking that builds early maths, language and logic.

Questions

Before you buy.

What exactly do I receive?

A 98-page PDF ebook with 150 fully written activities for ages 1 to 4, plus the emergency 5-minute activity set, the weekly planner and the 150-activity tracker. It is a digital download — nothing is shipped to you.

When do I get it?

Immediately after checkout. The download link appears on the confirmation page and is also emailed to you, so you can come back to it any time.

Do I need to buy special supplies?

No. The activities deliberately use everyday household items — rice, cups, tape, paper, cushions, socks, crayons, a laundry basket. Each activity lists its materials up front so you can check before you start.

Can I print it?

Yes. It is set up for US Letter, and the planner and tracker pages are designed to be printed and written on. It also reads well on a phone or tablet, with bookmarks for every section.

My child is almost 5. Is it still useful?

The book is written for ages 1 to 4. Many Ages 3–4 activities extend naturally for older preschoolers, but if your child is well past 4 this probably isn’t the right fit — and we’d rather tell you now.

Is this a subscription?

No. It is a single payment of $19.97 for lifetime access to the file. There are no renewals and no upsells inside the book.

Is it safe for my child?

Every activity carries its own safety note, and the book opens with a safety charter covering supervision, choking hazards and water play. You know your child best — adult supervision is assumed throughout.

One last thing

You were never competing with a screen.

A screen can hold attention. It cannot hold a hand, name a feeling, or notice that today your child stacked four blocks instead of three. Use one activity today. Repeat it tomorrow. That is the whole method.
